Ingredients
- 2 large turnips, peeled and cut in chunks
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1/2 c. finely chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. white pepper
Method
- Cook turnips, covered, in small amount of boiling salted water, for 10 minutes.
- Add potatoes and onion and cook until tender.
- Drain well.
- Mash vegetables with butter, salt and pepper.
- Adjust seasonings to taste.
- Serve hot.
