Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • Sea salt
  • 2 slices whole-grain bread, toasted
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling

Method

  • Cut the avocado in half, remove pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl.
  • Add the lemon juice and sea salt, to taste.
  • Mash the ingredients together with a fork, keeping the texture slightly chunky.
  • Spread half the mash onto each piece of toast and garnish with some red pepper flakes and a drizzle of olive oil.
  • Serve immediately.
