Ingredients

  • 1 can (12 Oz. Can) Your Favorite Beer. I Use The Non Alcohol Brand At The Grocery Store.
  • 1 pound Shrimp
  • 13 cups Onion, Sliced
  • 13 cups Old Bay Seasoning. Add To Each Batch That You Steam

Method

  • Directions for the rice cooker:
  • In the pan, pour the beer.
  • Put the steam basket over the top and place shrimp in the basket.
  • Place shrimp in a single layer (you may have to do this in batches).
  • Add onion.
  • Add Old Bay Seasoning and gently stir to coat shrimp.
  • Cover and steam till shrimp are pink.
  • Add the remaining shrimp and repeat.
  • Directions for the stove top:
  • Add beer to a sauce pan.
  • Put a steamer in the pan.
  • Add shrimp in a single layer (you may have to do this in batches).
  • Add onion and Old Bay Seasoning.
  • Gently stir to coat shrimp.
  • Cover and steam till shrimp are pink.
  • Add the remaining shrimp and repeat.
  • You can use different seasonings if you do not have Old Bay Seasoning.
