Ingredients

  • 2 c. bite-size Shredded Wheat
  • 1/4 c. low calorie margarine, melted
  • 2 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 tsp. ground thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 3 c. popcorn (no fat), popped
  • 1/3 c. salted roasted peanuts

Method

  • Combine cereal and nuts in 2-quart baking dish.
  • Combine margarine and next 4 ingredients and pour over cereal mixture. Toss to coat.
  • Bake at 350° for 15 minutes; stir every 5 minutes. Remove from oven; immediately add popcorn.
  • Toss gently to coat; let cool completely.
  • Store in an airtight container.
  • Yields 5 cups (76 calories per 1/3 cup).
