- 1 c. Italian cooking sauce
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 medium cucumbers, sliced (1 1/2 c.)
- 1 medium onion, sliced and separated into rings
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1/2 c. salad oil
- 2 tsp. salt
- 6 carrots, sliced (3 c.)
- 1 small green pepper, cut into rings
Method
- Mix Italian sauce, sugar, water, black pepper, vinegar, salad oil and salt.
- Pour over vegetables; cover.
- Refrigerate several hours or overnight, stirring occasionally.
- Drain.
- Serve in lettuce lined bowl.
- Makes 8 servings.
