Ingredients

  • 1 c. butter, softened
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 oz. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 2 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. instant malted milk powder
  • 1 c. coarsely chopped malted milk balls

Method

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat butter with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds. Add sugars and baking soda. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs, vanilla and malted chocolate until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in any remaining flour and the malted milk powder with a wooden spoon. Stir in chopped malted milk balls. Drop by rounded teaspoons 2 1/2-inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in a 375° oven about 10 minutes or until edges are firm. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Transfer cookies to a wire rack and let cool.
