- 2 (6 oz.) cans no-salt tomato paste
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 c. no-salt catsup
- 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
- 2 cloves, minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- dash of red pepper sauce
Method
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and mix well.
- Simmer, uncovered, over low heat for 20 minutes.
- Will keep refrigerated for 1 month.
- Makes about 1 quart.
