Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (about 4 lb.)
- 5 large potatoes, cut up
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 1/2 c. carrots, chopped
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 1/2 bag egg noodles
Method
- Boil chicken for an hour.
- Drain water, but save.
- Let chicken cool.
- Add all other ingredients except noodles to chicken broth and boil again.
- Remove chicken from bones and add meat to soup. Boil at least 1 hour; add noodles and serve.
