Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
- 1 c. cold margarine or butter
- 1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. almond brickle chips (LaRose Market has them)
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Method
- Set oven to 350° (325° for glass dish).
- In medium bowl, combine flour and sugar.
- Cut in margarine until crumbly.
- Press firmly in 9 x 13-inch pan and bake 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat Eagle Brand, milk, egg and vanilla.
- Stir in chips and pecans.
- Spread evenly over crust and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Cool and cut into bars.
- Store, covered in container.
- Yields 36 bars.
