Ingredients

  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
  • 1 c. cold margarine or butter
  • 1 can Eagle Brand condensed milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. almond brickle chips (LaRose Market has them)
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Method

  • Set oven to 350° (325° for glass dish).
  • In medium bowl, combine flour and sugar.
  • Cut in margarine until crumbly.
  • Press firmly in 9 x 13-inch pan and bake 15 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in medium bowl, beat Eagle Brand, milk, egg and vanilla.
  • Stir in chips and pecans.
  • Spread evenly over crust and bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Cool and cut into bars.
  • Store, covered in container.
  • Yields 36 bars.
