Ingredients
- 4 eggs, beaten until foamy
- 1 1/2 c. salad oil (Crisco)
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. pumpkin (regular size can)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. finely chopped walnuts
Method
- Cream the first 5 ingredients together.
- Mix dry ingredients together and add to creamed ingredients.
- Mix until well blended (2 to 3 minutes) and fold in walnuts.
- Bake in angel food pan at 350° for 1 hour.
- You can make this ahead of time because the more moist it becomes, the better it tastes!
- Slice and serve with whipped cream!
