Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- 3 eggs, separated
- 3 lemons
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Mix sugar and flour in medium pot.
- Stir in water and cook in double boiler until clear.
- Grate rind from lemons and squeeze juice out.
- Add rind and lemon juice to cooked mixture.
- Add egg yolks mixed with a little cooked mixture.
- Add butter.
- Cook 2 minutes longer.
- Pour in baked pie shell.
- Cover with meringue.
