Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. macaroni
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 3 c. milk
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • some breadcrumbs

Method

  • Cook macaroni.
  • Combine butter, cheese, salt and pepper with hot drained macaroni in bowl and mix well.
  • Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Beat eggs and milk in small bowl until well mixed.
  • Pour over macaroni.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes or until macaroni is set and golden brown on top.
  • Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
  • Yields 6 to 8 servings.
