- 1 medium head lettuce
- 3 stalks celery, diced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 can water chestnuts, sliced
- 1 small pkg. frozen peas (raw)
- 2 c. or less mayonnaise
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 or 4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced or diced
- 2 or 3 tomatoes in wedges
- 1/2 lb. bacon, crumbled
Method
- Use 9 x 13-inch dish.
- Layer broken lettuce, diced celery, sliced onion, sliced water chestnuts and peas.
- Cover with mayonnaise.
- Sprinkle on sugar.
- Cover with grated Parmesan cheese, then eggs, tomatoes and bacon.
- Cover lightly and refrigerate 24 hours before serving.
- Serves 12.
