Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck or 1 can ground meat
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 (1 lb. 14 oz.) jar chunky style pasta sauce
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 6 oz. lasagne noodles
  • 1 c. cottage cheese (cream-style), mixed with 1 egg
  • 6 to 8 oz. Mozzarella cheese, sliced

Method

  • Boil and drain lasagne noodles.
  • Follow package directions. While noodles are boiling, brown meat in skillet. Empty pasta sauce in saucepan and add meat and sugar.
  • In baking dish (about 13 x 9-inch), alternate layers of noodles, cottage cheese mix, Mozzarella cheese and sauce.
  • Use sauce for top layer. Sprinkle top with Parmesan cheese. Bake 30 to 35 minutes in a 375° oven. Serves 6.
