Ingredients

  • 2 cans large chunk fruit (salad)
  • 1 can dark pitted sweet cherries
  • 1/2 c. maraschino cherries
  • 2 bananas
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3/4 Tbsp. curry powder
  • 6 Tbsp. fruit juice
  • 1/4 c. melted butter

Method

  • Drain fruits (reserve 6 tablespoons of juice) and put in buttered glass baking dish.
  • Cut and arrange bananas on top. Combine and mix together the brown sugar, cornstarch and curry powder.
  • Add fruit juice and butter.
  • Pour mixture over fruits. Bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes in a 350° oven.
  • Makes 6 servings.
