Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. corn syrup
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. peanut butter
  • 4 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
  • 1/3 c. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. milk
  • 1 1/2 c. icing sugar
  • 2/3 c. cocoa

Method

  • Cook corn syrup and sugar over medium heat until sugar dissolves and mixture bubbles.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Blend in peanut butter and 2 tablespoons of butter.
  • Add Rice Krispies and stir until well coated.
  • Press mixture firmly into a buttered jelly roll pan (15 x 3/4-inch).
  • Melt 1/3 cup butter with milk over low heat.
  • Sift in icing sugar and cocoa.
  • Blend thoroughly.
  • Remove Rice Krispies from pan.
  • Spread evenly with cocoa mixture. Starting at one end, roll up to form log.
  • Wrap in greased wax paper.
  • Refrigerate.
