Ingredients
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 2 heaping tsp. lard or butter
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cake yeast, dissolved in 1 c. lukewarm water
Method
- Mix scalded milk, lard or butter, salt and sugar together. When cool, add eggs and cake yeast dissolved in 1 cup of lukewarm water.
- Stir stiff.
- Work in flour.
- Put in warm place to rise. Knead again and put in icebox.
- Use dough when desired.
- Shape and let rise 2 or 3 hours before baking.
