Ingredients
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 7 1/2 c. sifted flour
Method
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add potatoes, beaten eggs and salt.
- Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water and add to mixture.
- Beat well and add to flour, a little at a time, until all is used.
- Mix thoroughly and let stand until dough has doubled in size.
- Punch down, cover and place in refrigerator.
