Ingredients

  • 4 lb. hen, stewed and cubed
  • 2 c. shell macaroni, cooked
  • 1/2 lb. Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 4 c. broth
  • 4 c. bread crumbs
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. cream (optional)

Method

  • Stew and cube chicken.
  • Cook the macaroni.
  • Cube Velveeta cheese.
  • Save broth from chicken and thicken with flour.
  • Mix this together and place in the bottom of casserole dish.
  • Brown the crumbs and add cream; place on top of the casserole.
  • Bake at 325° for 30 minutes in 8x11 or square pan.
  • Serves 6-8.
