Ingredients
- 6 pork chops
- salt and pepper
- 3 c. sauerkraut
- 4 Tbsp. paprika
- 1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
- 3 large potatoes, sliced and parboiled
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
Method
- Sprinkle chops lightly with salt and pepper; flour on both sides.
- Brown in a heavy skillet; then arrange a layer of kraut, then a layer of potatoes with a layer of kraut on top.
- Sprinkle with paprika and brown sugar.
- Pour tomatoes over top.
- Cover and cook slowly on top of stove for 40 to 45 minutes or until chops are very tender.
