- 2 chicken breasts, roughly chopped
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 -2 teaspoon mustard powder
- 2 scallions, roughly chopped
- vegetable oil, for frying
- 2 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
- salt and black pepper
Method
- Place the chicken, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, scallions and seasoning into a food processor and process to a paste.
- Divide the mixture into 4 portions and roll each into a ball then flatten slightly to make quite thin patties.
- Heat some oil in a frying pan and fry the burgers for 3-4 minutes on either side, turning with a fish slice, or until golden and cooked through.
- Meanwhile heat the broiler and toast the burger buns, if using.
- When the burgers are cooked place on the grill pan and cover each with thin slices of cheese and broil until golden and bubbling.
