- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 c. peanut butter
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/4 c. cocoa
- 1 3/4 c. hot water
Method
- Mix first 5 ingredients in large bowl.
- Stir in milk, peanut butter, oil and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread mixture into square 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
- Stir together in small bowl brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa.
- Sprinkle this mixture over batter in pan.
- Pour hot water over the top of brown sugar, cocoa mixture but do not stir. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
- To serve, spoon each serving upside down into dessert dishes.
- Spoon sauce over top.
- Best served warm.
