Ingredients

  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1/2 c. shortening (I use Crisco butter flavored)

Method

  • Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening until mixture resembles
  • coarse meal.
  • Add milk all at once and stir just until mixture
