Ingredients

  • 1 small head lettuce, shredded
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped bell peppers
  • 1 large can green peas, drained or 1 pkg. frozen green peas, cooked and drained
  • 6 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 to 2 c. Hellmann's real mayonnaise

Method

  • In a large bowl, layer lettuce, celery, onion, pepper and peas.
  • Sprinkle cheese over peas.
  • Sprinkle bacon over cheese. Spread mayonnaise on salad, completely sealing salad.
  • Chill.
  • Can be tossed before serving.
  • Yields 8 to 10 servings.
