Ingredients
- 1 small head lettuce, shredded
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped bell peppers
- 1 large can green peas, drained or 1 pkg. frozen green peas, cooked and drained
- 6 slices bacon, fried and crumbled
- 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
- 1 to 2 c. Hellmann's real mayonnaise
Method
- In a large bowl, layer lettuce, celery, onion, pepper and peas.
- Sprinkle cheese over peas.
- Sprinkle bacon over cheese. Spread mayonnaise on salad, completely sealing salad.
- Chill.
- Can be tossed before serving.
- Yields 8 to 10 servings.
