Ingredients

  • 3 c. hot mashed potatoes
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 can Durkee French fried onions
  • 1 1/2 c. cooked, cubed chicken
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. ground mustard
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Method

  • Heat oven to 375°.
  • Mix potatoes, half of cheese and 1/2 of onion.
  • Spoon into greased 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
  • Spread across bottom and up sides to form a shell.
  • In a bowl, combine chicken, vegetables, soup, milk and seasonings.
  • Pour into potato shell and bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes.
  • Top with remaining cheese and onion; bake until golden brown.
