Ingredients

  • 3 lbs extra lean ground beef
  • 1 1/2 c rolled oats
  • 1/2 c onion, minced
  • 1 t salt (optional)
  • 1/2 t pepper
  • 1/2 c egg substitute
  • 2 c low-fat pasta sauce (choose your favorite - mushroom or other)
  • 1/2 c fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 small can mushroom pieces

Method

  • Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Coat two 8 1/2 X 4 1/2 loaf pans with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Mix ingredients in a large bowl, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta sauce.
  • Form loaves in pans and brush with reserved sauce.
  • Bake for 1 hour.
