Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 6 Tbsp. fine chopped onion
- 1/4 tsp. basil leaves (dry)
- 1/4 tsp. thyme leaves (dry)
- 2 lb. potatoes, sliced thin
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Method
- Combine seasonings in bowl.
- Place 2 tablespoons melted margarine in 10-inch skillet.
- Arrange 1/3 potatoes in circular pattern.
- Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon seasoning, 4 tablespoons melted margarine and 2 tablespoons onion.
- Repeat layers twice. Cover tightly with foil.
- Press down.
- Bake 20 minutes at 425°. Remove foil.
- Cook 20 minutes more.
- Let stand 10 minutes before putting in serving dish.
