Ingredients
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 4 c. cooked beets, sliced or diced
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 1/3 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Method
- Combine sugar and cornstarch.
- Add vinegar and water; boil for 5 minutes.
- Add beets and simmer 1/2 hour.
- Add butter and season with salt and pepper.
- Serves 6 to 8.
