Ingredients
- pie dough for double crust
- 6 medium green tomatoes, sliced paper thin
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 c. cider vinegar
- 1 tsp. flour
Method
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- Line a 9-inch pie pan with pie dough. Dot with butter.
- Layer tomatoes and top with sugar, spices, vinegar, butter and a sprinkling of flour until all ingredients are used.
- Vent crust in center of pie.
- Bake 20 minutes at 425°. Reduce heat to 375° for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Serve warm with a wedge of cheese.
