Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. green beans (1-inch pieces)
- 2 medium carrots, cut in 1/4-inch slices
- 1 medium onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 4 oz. mushrooms, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Heat 1-inch water to boiling in medium saucepan.
- Add beans and carrots.
- Return to boiling.
- Reduce heat.
- Simmer, covered, until almost tender, about 12 minutes.
- Drain.
- Cook and stir onion and mushrooms in margarine in 10-inch skillet over medium heat until almost tender, about 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat.
- Stir in beans, carrots and salt.
- Cook, covered over medium heat until tender.
