Ingredients
- 1 large bag of frozen green beans, cut or french style, thawed
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup white Cheddar cheese
- 1 can fried onion rings (durkee
Method
- In a skillet, melt butter and cook onions for 2 minutes.
- Add mushrooms and cook until golden.
- Stir in soup and cream.
- Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the cheddar cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Stir in green beans and toss to coat.
- Transfer to a buttered casserole.
- Top with fried onions and bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly
