Ingredients

  • 1 large bag of frozen green beans, cut or french style, thawed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup white Cheddar cheese
  • 1 can fried onion rings (durkee

Method

  • In a skillet, melt butter and cook onions for 2 minutes.
  • Add mushrooms and cook until golden.
  • Stir in soup and cream.
  • Bring to a simmer.
  • Stir in the cheddar cheese.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • Stir in green beans and toss to coat.
  • Transfer to a buttered casserole.
  • Top with fried onions and bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly
