Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. green beans
- 1 medium diced onion
- 3 Tbsp. bacon drippings
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 large potatoes, quartered and peeled
- 2 strips bacon, diced
- 1/2 stick butter
Method
- Cook green beans.
- Place bacon grease and onion in skillet. Saute until onions are slightly brown.
- Put in with beans.
- Add butter.
- Cook 1/2 hour longer.
- Add potatoes and cook 1/2 hour longer.
- Place in baking dish.
- Salt and pepper.
- Bake 15 minutes at 375°.
- Top with crisp bacon.
- Serves 4.
