- 2 lb. ground beef
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 4 c. water
- 16 oz. tomato sauce
- 6 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes
- beef base: 1 c. broth or 3 bouillon cubes
Method
- In a Dutch oven, cook the beef; drain off fat and remove.
- Add the onions.
- Cook until translucent and remove.
- Add pepper. Cook until tender.
- Return onions and ground beef to the pot.
- Add all remaining ingredients.
- Stir.
- Bring to a boil and lower heat to a simmer; simmer for 20 minutes to cook potatoes.
- Serve hot.
