- 7 c. rolled oats
- 5 c. wheat bran
- 3 c. wheat germ
- 2 1/2 c. unsalted roasted sunflower seeds
- 2 c. sesame seed
- 2 c. flaked coconut
- 1 3/4 c. honey
- 5/8 c. molasses
- 1 3/4 c. canola oil
Method
- Mix dry ingredients thoroughly, add oil and mix thoroughly again.
- Heat honey until it flows freely and add with molasses to ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Bake at 275° in a large broiler or pans without cover for 1 1/2 hours, stirring every 15 to 20 minutes to toast evenly.
- Color should be light brown.
- Bake on shelf 3 inches above coils.
- Yields 26 cups, or 7 1/2 pounds.
- Can be used as breakfast cereal, on hot cereals and as a snack.
