Ingredients
- 2 cups old fashioned oats
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup wheat germ
- 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts or almonds
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 1/2 cups raisins
Method
- Combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, nuts and salt in a large bowl.
- Stir in condensed milk.
- Add oil and mix thoroughly.
- Spread mixture on a shallow baking pan lined with wax paper.
- Bake at 300 degrees, stirring occasionally, for 1 hour or until golden.
- Remove from oven and stir in raisins while still warm.
- Cool and store in tightly covered container.
