Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. honey
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 c. oatmeal
  • 1/2 c. whole wheat
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 3/4 c. chocolate chips
  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. nuts

Method

  • Beat 2 eggs.
  • Add melted or room-softened butter, honey and vanilla.
  • Add dry to wet ingredients stirring only until well blended.
  • Add chocolate chips, raisins and nuts. Chopped dates may be used instead of raisins.
  • Bake in greased 9 x 13 pan at 350° for 25-30 minutes. Cut into bars while warm.
