Ingredients

  • 9-inch pie shell
  • 4 c. strawberries
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 3 oz. strawberry gelatin
  • whipped cream

Method

  • Bake
  • 9-inch pie shell until brown. Let cool.
  • Wash and slice
  • strawberries.
  • Place in cool pie shell.
  • In saucepan,
  • mix water, sugar and cornstarch.
  • Cook over medium heat while stirring.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to low and cook until mixture
  • is
  • clear.
  • Then add strawberry gelatin.
  • Pour over strawberries
  • in
  • pie
  • shell.
  • Chill.
  • Add whipped cream when ready to serve.
  • Makes 1 pie.
