Ingredients
- 3 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
- 1 c. water
- 1 tsp. flavoring or coloring
Method
- Combine sugar, water and Karo syrup over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Turn on high and put in candy thermometer. Let boil until 310° is reached.
- Do not stir.
- Watch closely, as it may boil over.
- When temperature is reached, take off heat. Add flavoring and coloring.
- Pour into shallow flat pan.
- Let cool completely (overnight is best).
- Break into bite size pieces. Toss with powdered sugar.
