Ingredients
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. vinegar
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 Tbsp. pickling spices, in cloth bag
- 6 c. medium shredded cabbage
- 1 large onion, cut in thin slices and separated (set aside)
Method
- Boil all the ingredients 15 minutes except cabbage and onion. Remove spice bag.
- Let mixture cool 15 to 20 minutes.
- Pour over cabbage and onion.
- Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours before serving.
