Ingredients

  • 6 medium red potatoes, boiled
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 3/4 c. diced onion
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. celery seed
  • dash of pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar

Method

  • Cut potatoes into 1/4-inch squares.
  • Put in glass casserole. Set aside.
  • Cut bacon into 1/4-inch slices.
  • Fry bacon so it's crispy.
  • Add onion while frying bacon.
  • Fry until clear.
  • Add flour, water, vinegar, sugar, salt, celery seed and pepper.
  • Cook on low heat for about 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  • Mix in with potatoes.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 to 45 minutes.
