- 1 lb. dry pinto beans
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can chopped green chiles
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 4 heaping Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 heaping Tbsp. ground cumin
- 1 heaping tsp. chili pepper
- salt to taste
- 4 heaping Tbsp. cornstarch or maza flour
- 3 cans beef broth
- 2 lb. ground beef
Method
- Cook beans per package.
- When half done, pour off the water and cook the rest of the way with beef broth, covered about 1-inch with (topped off) water (large pot).
