Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- powdered sugar (for sprinkling on top)
Method
- Heat oil in deep fryer or large skillet until it is very hot but don't burn it.
- Mix all the ingredients and pour through a funnel held over the hot oil.
- Move the funnel in a circle and then crisscross motion as you pour the batter through the funnel to form the cakes.
- They rise fast and get pretty large, so be careful not to pour too much batter at a time.
