Ingredients
- 2 lb. ground turkey or beef
- chopped onion dried flakes (a few) or fresh
- 1 1/2 to 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 c. elbow macaroni
- 2 cans red kidney beans
- 1 tsp. chili powder
Method
- Brown turkey; add onion after browned.
- Add tomato sauce and beans (having been whizzed in blender until smooth).
- Add chili powder.
- Cook 15 minutes, then add enough water to get 1/2 pot. (I use a Dutch oven-style pot.) Bring to boil, then add the elbow macaroni.
- Cook on medium until macaroni is done.
- (It's really grandma's mild chili with the beans pureed.)
