- 2 1/4 c. candied mixed fruit
- 1 c. white raisins
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. brandy
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c. margarine, melted
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 c. plain flour, sifted
- 1 c. pecans
Method
- Soak candied fruit and raisins in brandy for 48 hours.
- With a fork, beat eggs and sugar.
- Blend in butter, soda, spices and vanilla.
- Gently stir in flour, nuts and brandied fruit with remaining liquid.
- Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375° for about 10 minutes or until lightly brown. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
