Ingredients
- several firm green tomatoes
- flour
- cornmeal
- salt
- pepper
Method
- Make a mixture of flour, cornmeal, salt and pepper.
- Slice tomatoes in 1/4-inch slices.
- Coat each slice with the batter mixture.
- Fry in skillet with small amount of oil.
- Brown on one side, then the other, turning only once.
- When they are tender, they are ready to serve.
