Ingredients

  • 2 heads fresh broccoli
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1 small red onion, chopped
  • 1 can sliced water chestnuts
  • 1/4 c. grated carrots
  • 1 lb. bacon, fried crisp
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar

Method

  • Chop broccoli into small pieces and mix with raisins, pecans, onions, water chestnuts and carrots.
  • Mix the mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar to make a dressing.
  • Pour over the broccoli mixture and toss well.
  • Top with crumbled bacon.
  • Refrigerate and marinate several hours before serving.
