Ingredients

  • 3 c. chopped raw apples
  • 1 1/2 c. all-vegetable oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 c. chopped black walnuts or pecans

Method

  • Peel
  • apples
  • and
  • chop; set aside.
  • Pour vegetable oil into large mixing bowl.
  • Add sugar and eggs; beat well.
  • Sift flour with salt, soda and baking powder.
  • Gradually add flour mixture to
  • creamed
  • mixture.
  • Add
  • vanilla.
  • Gently
  • fold in chopped apples
  • and nuts.
  • Grease a 10-inch tube pan and line with wax paper.
  • Pour in batter.
  • Bake in 350° oven 1 hour or until done. Drizzle with sugar glaze.
