Ingredients

  • 1 (18 ounce) box yellow cake mix (bake as directed on box)
  • 1 (16 ounce) container Cool Whip
  • 2 (4 ounce) boxes vanilla instant pudding mix (prepare as directed on box)
  • 1 quart fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 0.5 (22 ounce) bottle caramel syrup (or butterscotch syrup)

Method

  • Bake cake according to directions on back of box and let cool.
  • Cut in 1-inch cubes.
  • This is a layer dessert, so ....
  • start with a layer of cake (use 1/3 of cake).
  • layer 1/3 of pudding.
  • layer 1/3 of strawberries.
  • layer 1/3 of cool whip
  • drizzle syrup back and forth over cool whip.
  • Repeat layers finishing with cool whip on top decorate with swirl of syrup and some strawberries to decorate.
