Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. cold water
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 3 Tbsp. water
Method
- Combine sugar, cold water and butter in medium saucepan; cook until sugar is dissolved.
- Combine egg yolks with milk; pour into hot mixture.
- Add lemon juice, then add cornstarch mixed with 3 tablespoons water.
- Stir all of these together and boil for 2 minutes.
- Pour into 9-inch baked pie shell.
- Top with meringue.
