Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb.) can green beans, drained
  • 1 (1 lb.) can yellow wax beans, drained
  • 1 (1 lb.) can red kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (1 lb.) can lima beans, drained
  • 1 medium green pepper, diced
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 3/4 c. cider vinegar

Method

  • Place beans, green pepper and onion in a large bowl.
  • Combine remaining ingredients; drizzle over vegetables.
  • Cover; marinate for several hours or overnight, stirring once or twice.
  • Before serving, stir and drain.
  • Flavor improves as it stands.
  • Yields 12 servings.
